Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a cell transfer even when traffic is biased.
SOLUTION: Plural access modules AM1-AMN are divided into groups, the access module capable of cell transmission is determined in the group by round robin between the groups beforehand, the access module gives a request signal to the access module at the destination desired to transmit cells, the access module receiving the request signal selects the access module at the request signal transmission source to permit the transmission through the round robin, and a cell transmission permit signal is applied to that access module.
