Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the fitting construction of a side sill scuff in which a clip for fitting the scuff can be more easily executed compaired with a customary fitting construction, and the sealing property can be improved.
CONSTITUTION: In the fitting construction of a side sill scuff 1 arranged on the upper part of a seal flange 4 formed out of joint flange parts 2a, 3a of a side sill inner panel 2 and a side body outer panel 3, the side sill inner panel 2 is provided with a step difference part 8 having a fitting hole 9, meanwhile, the side sill scuff 1 is provided with a lock piece 7 on the back, the fitting piece part 11 of a clip 10 is insertedly fitted into the fitting hole 9 of the step difference part 8, and a weather strip 14 is engagedly fitted to the seal flange 4. In addition to this, by locking the lock piece 7 with the engaging hole 13 of the support piece part 12 of the clip 10, the side sill scuff 1 is fitted to the clip 10.
