Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment structure of a chain adjuster which inhibits air from being suctioned from an oil storage chamber through an oil hole when an internal combustion engine restarts and prevents a timing chain from flipping when the internal combustion engine restarts.SOLUTION: In an attachment structure of a chain adjuster 16, the chain adjuster 16 includes: a housing 21 having an oil hole 21B communicating with an oil storage chamber 20 and a cylinder 21A communicating with the oil hole 21B; and a plunger which is movably provided in the housing 21 and pressurizes a timing chain with an oil pressure supplied to the cylinder 21A. An attachment surface 13 of the chain adjuster 16 is formed so as to incline downward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
