This attachment information acquisition apparatus is equipped with: a front device 1 which is formed by sequentially connecting front attachments 11, 12 and 131 together; storage devices M11, M12 and M131 which are each provided in the front attachments 11, 12 and 131, and wherein pieces of attachment information, peculiar to the respective front attachments, are each stored; transmission means M11, M12, M131, 10, 20 and 30 for transmitting the respective pieces of attachment information, which are stored in the respective storage devices M11, M12 and M131; and an identification device 101 for identifying the shape of the front device 1 in accordance with the respective pieces of attachment information, which are transmitted by the transmission means M11, M12, M131, 10, 20 and 30.
