Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment structure of a vacuum pump capable of reducing vibration or noise of an engine.SOLUTION: A pump upper side boss part 8 of a body part 4 of a vacuum pump 3 is fixed to a cam housing side boss part 22 formed on a cam housing 2, and a pump lower side boss part 9 of the body part 4 of the vacuum pump 3 is fixed to a cylinder head side boss part 23 formed on a cylinder head 1. The body part 4 of the vacuum pump 3 is fixed across the cam housing 2 and the cylinder head 1, and therefore, floating of the cam housing 2 by the force imparted from an exhaust camshaft 13 can be suppressed by the body part 4 of the vacuum pump 3. At that time, a timing gear 20 for transmitting rotation of a crankshaft is attached to a shaft end of an intake camshaft 14, and a pump shaft 5 of the vacuum pump 3 is connected to the exhaust cam shaft 13.
