This attendance information collecting system is provided with a means 5 for authenticating portable terminal equipment 2 which is equipped with a means 3 for reading a code and connected through a communication line 1 so that time information indicating personal attendance situations can be collected by using the personally decided code. The portable terminal equipment 2 is provided with: a means 5 storing a picture information group necessary for collecting the time information; a means 5 for reading from the storage means 5 the picture information corresponding to the contents of processing to be performed by the portable terminal equipment 2 authenticated by the authenticating means 5 and transmitting the read information with the time information to the portable terminal equipment 2; a means 5 for receiving the information processed and transmitted by the portable terminal equipment 2 by using the transmitted picture information, time information and the code; and a means 5 for registering the information received by the receiving means 5.
