Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent bending and twisting of a spring exterted by external force by providing a means to restrict a large relative displacement produced between the sides of a float-supported bearing and stationary members which face the sides of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:To restrict a large relative displacement produced between outside surfaces 3c and 3d or a float-supported bearing 3 and a spacer 10 and a stopper plate 13, which serve as stationary members, projected pins 11a and 11b are installed in both sides 3c and 3d of the bearing 3, and a pin hole 12a is provided in the spacer 10, and a pin hole 12b is provided in the stopper plate 13. With this construction, the pins 11a and 11b are firmly fitted to the pin holes 12a and 12b, even when external force acts on a cage-shaped spring 9, which does not allow the generation of displacement larger than minute clearance G1, thus prevent the failure of the spring 9.
