Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an attenuator which has high reliability to a signal of large electric power and also can facilitate the control of the attenuation factor.
CONSTITUTION: In regard of an attenuator which is constructed on a substrate by means of a strip line and handles a signal of an ultra-high frequency band, a variable susceptance means 16 which can optionally change the susceptance is connected to a main line 13 formed by the strip line. At the same time, the isolators 14 and 14 are connected to the signal input/output terminals of the line 13. A 2nd attenuator of such a constitution is subordinately connected to a 1st attenuator of the same constitution. Then the means 16 either one of both attenuators is constituted is capacitive and the means 16 of the other attenuator is inductive respectively.
