PURPOSE: To change the attitude of transferred article for the next process with a high reliablity at a small place in a short time, by using only one apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: When an actuator 10 is moved left, a rack 17 is also moved left. Then, a pinion 22 is rotated right to rotate a rotary arm 25 and a rotary plate 26. When a rod 15 is moved right, the rack 17 is moved right by the action of a compressed spring 19. Then, the pinion 22 is rotated left to rorate the rotary arm 25 and the rotary plate left to the original position. When the rod 15 is rotated, the rack 17, the pinion 22, the rotary arm 25 and the rotary plate 26 are rotated through a member 14, a sliding key 13, an inner cylinder 12 and a rack guide 20. To shift the transferred article 1 from an attitude A to another C, the rod 15 is moved left and rotated, an actuator 27 is thereafter driven and a rod 28 is rotated by an angle of 180°.
