To reasonably reproduce audio signals from various sources and to complement and reproduce a signal of a frequency band lost in a stage of encoding.

A client control IC 12 decodes encoded audio data and acquires text data of the file name etc., of the audio data. An audio DSP 14 processes the decoded audio data to reproduce an audio signal. A system microcomputer 11 receives the text data and outputs them for display, and also controls a listening mode of the audio DSP 14 according to an input indication. The client control IC 12 acquires the extension of the file name and supplies it to the audio DSP 14 through the system microcomputer 11. The audio DSP 14 specifies an encoding system from the extension and performs sound field complement processing for complementing the signal of the frequency band lost by the encoding system.
