PURPOSE: To give the change in stress and intonation to the output state every character, in outputting audio, by processing the character data added with the data indicating the attribute.

CONSTITUTION: When the attributive data is input to the character designation data, the character designation data is stored in the character code register 21, and the attribute data is to the attributive code register 24. The data input to the character code register 21 is the address selection data of the audio data memory 22 together with the signal formed in the address control circuit 23, and required data is transmitted to the audio data output buffer 26 from the audio data memory 22 and stored. The attribute data of characters are fed to the attribute data output buffer 27 from the register 24 and stored. Based on the output start instruction from the external part, the audio data and attribute data are output via the gate 28.
