Title:
AUDIO SIGNAL AMPLIFIER AND AUDIO SIGNAL LEVEL DETECTION CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3297713
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce a heat generated by the audio signal amplifier without deteriorating the sound quality by allowing an audio signal level adjustment means to attenuate an audio output signal for a prescribed frequency range when the audio signal level detection means detects an increased output level.
CONSTITUTION: A system control section 18 is provided with an audio signal level detection means detecting whether or not an output level of an audio output signal of amplifier sections 3A, 3B is larger than a threshold level and with an audio signal level adjustment means attenuating an audio output signal for a prescribed frequency range when the audio signal level detection means detects an increased output level. When a discrimination means discriminates an increased output, the audio signal level adjustment means gives a command signal to decrease an output level for a low sound frequency range, that is, a base tone by a prescribed level to control ICs 5A, 5B. The control ICs 5A, 5B receiving the command signal decrease the base tone by a prescribed level.
