PURPOSE: To easily reproduce audio data in time series by recording recording date and time information of the audio data in a prescribed area and selectively reproducing the data in accordance with these recording date and time at the time of reproducing.

CONSTITUTION: Recorded date and time are included together with information about audio data in a TOC of a disk 1 at the time of recording. At the time of reproducing, when a time base reproducing mode is set by a key operating part K 41, this is discriminated by a system control part 20, and the recording date and time information is taken out of the TOC, and then reproducing processing is performed in time series in accordance with its setting in descending order or ascending order. Then, at the time of a selecting mode, reproduction is performed only by retrieving specified recording date and time. By this method, plural audio data can easily be reproduced in time series or selections.
