Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operating knobs for setting the level of examination sound or masking noise from carelessly displacing to suddenly give examination sound or masking noise of excessive level to a patient.
SOLUTION: The examination sound level setting knob 55 is fixed to a rotating shaft 120 of a rotary encoder 121. A circuit 70 detects the rotation of the knob 55 whether the direction of increasing sound or in the direction of decreasing sound, and detects the rotating amount of the knob 55. A main control circuit 78 limits the time change rate of increase in examination sound under a fixed value even if the rotating operation speed in the direction of increasing sound becomes high. The masking noise level setting knob 34 has the similar constitution. When the power is on, the sound pressure not exerting bad influence on the patient is altered and presented to the patient.
