Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the title steel suitable for boiling water reactors, etc., and high in resistance to stress and corrosion cracking, by severely regulating the contents of C, Nb, Si, P, and S, allowing the presence of the solid solution of N, and rendering ferrite present in the De Long structure graph in a predetermined amount.

CONSTITUTION: The title steel satisfies the following composition conditions: C below 0.02% ; Mn below 2.0%; Cr 17 to 20%; Ni 7 to 11%; P below 0.015%; S below 0.005%; N 0;025 to 0.10% and C+N≥0.045%; Nb 0.20 to 0.32%; and Fe the rest, and 1.32 (%Cr+%Mo+1.5x%Si+0.5x%Nb) -14.4 ≤ %Ni+30x(%C+ %N)+0.5x%Mn ≤ 1.39(%Cr+%Mo+1.5x%Si+0.5x%Nb)-13.0

USE: Piping for a light water reactor, especially for recirculation in a boiling water reactor, etc..
