Title:
AUSTENITE STEEL REDUCED IN SWELLING DUE TO IRRADIATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6119765
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide austenite steel of which the swelling by irradiation is suppressed without losing strength and processability, obtained by containing an element, which has a solid solution limit of a limit value or more and an atomic diameter of a specific value or more, in austenite steel within a range forming no coarse precipitate.

CONSTITUTION: The titled austenite steel is obtained by containing an element, which has a solid solution limit of 0.02wt% or more and an atomic diameter of 2.8 or more larger than the average atomic diameter of an austenite matrix phase, in austenite steel within a range forming no coarse precipitate. Pref., steel contains, on a wt. basis, C ≤0.03%, Si ≤2%, Mn ≤2%, 12W16% Ni, 15W 18% Cr, 1W3% Mo and one or more of Ti, Zr and Y in the range mentioned hereinbelow and comprises the remainder of Fe and inevitable impure elements. The above mentioned Ti, Zr and Y are contained in a range of 0.1%≤Ti≤0.3%, 0.05%≤Z≤0.2% and 0.02%≤Y≤0.05% set to the range satisfying formula (Ti+ 1.5Zr+6Y)≤0.65%.
