Abstract:
To provide a method capable of authenticating an individual with high accuracy by using biological characteristics that have not been used for authentication so far.
This authentication method is provided with an image acquiring step for acquiring an image of skin of a person to be authenticated (S10), and a collating step for collating a pattern of a pore in the acquired image with a pattern of a pore of a registrant stored beforehand in a database and judging whether the person to be authenticated is the registrant (S18 to S28).
