Abstract:
To provide an authentication system and an information processing method capable of improving convenience by using data of a registered face image by an authentication engine for performing authentication other than face authentication.SOLUTION: An authentication system 10 for performing the user authentication using information received from a user terminal 20 includes: information acquisition means 17 for receiving the user face image data from the user terminal 20 at the time of user registration, extracting the feature quantity of a user face image based on the received user face image data and storing the information on the feature quantity of the extracted user face image as the user identification information in a memory 16; and linking means 19 which links the user identification information used in an authentication engine of a service organization performing authentication other than face authentication with the user identification information on the feature quantity of the user face image stored in the memory 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
