Abstract:

To provide an authentication technique capable of highly precise authentication in authenticating identity of objects including a human.

With respect to at least either an object to be authenticated (for example, a person to be authenticated) and an object to be compared with (for example, a person to be compared with), an individual feature part which is different from a common feature part provided for objects of the same kind (for example, persons) in common and provided individually is detected. Afterward, a feature amount of the detected individual feature part is recognized and authentication using the feature amount is performed.
