Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system and an authentication method which can safely and surely prevent spoofing of an authenticated side by a third person.
SOLUTION: The authentication system is provided with a server device 25 and a client device 24 which performs authentication of the server device 25. In the system, data 1 for authentication are divided into divided data A1, B1 for authentication. The divided data B1 for authentication are transmitted from the server device 25 to the client device 24. The client device 24 authenticates the server device 25 by verifying the fact that the divided data A1, B1 for authentication are restored to the data 1 for authentication. The divided data A1 for authentication are transmitted together with divided data for authentication of the last time in the case of the last authentication from the server device 25 to the client device 24. The divided data B1 for authentication are transmitted together with divided data A2 for authentication from the server device 25 to the client device 24.
