In this authentication system, when the reservation for use of an accommodation or facility is performed to a reservation center 3 by use of a portable terminal 1 as a portable phone with display function, the reservation center 3 converts the result of the reservation to image information of two-dimensional code and delivers it to a reserving person. The reserving person displays the image information of two-dimensional code that is the reservation result on the portable terminal 1 in a receiving place of the ticket or the like to read the screen by a check-in terminal 4 set in an entrance gate or a ticket issuing terminal 6 set in a ticket issuing place. When its propriety is confirmed, a gate 5 is opened, or the ticket is issued.
