To enhance identification accuracy as a whole and to quickly conduct personal re-identification.
An identification system involves: reading biological identification information on a fingerprint from the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) card of an employee in entering a room by means of an RFID-R/W (Reader-Writer) device 11; conducting personal identification having the high identification accuracy by checking the identification information against the biological identification information on the fingerprint read by means of a fingerprint recognition device 7; preparing biological identification information on a face picture by inputting the face picture of the employee by means of a face picture input device 8 when an individual is correctly identified; transmitting the biological identification information to a store server 2; registering the received biological identification information on the face picture on a personal information registration section 6 by means of the store server; reading the applicable biological identification information on the face picture from the personal information registration section by means of the store server when work through a POS (Point of Sale) terminal 3 is started by the employee for transmission to the POS terminal; fetching the face picture of the employee by means of a face recognition device 12; and checking the face picture against the received biological identification information on the face picture, and quickly conducting the personal re-identification though the identification accuracy is low.
