To provide an optical authenticity judgement structure which is high in forgery preventing effect and excellent in security property.
This authenticity judgement structure 1 to be used for an authenticating medium, in which almost linear minute prisms 3 consisting of transparent materials with rectangular or trapezoidal cross-sections are arranged in parallel with parallel space parts 6 between on the surface of a base material 2. In the authenticity judgement structure 1, the bottom surface of the rectangular or trapezoidal minute prism 3 is made in contact with the surface of the base material, and a light reflecting layer or a light scattering layer is formed on either one or two of upper surfaces or side surfaces of the minute prism facing the space or both of those surfaces, or a colored layer or characters and patterns are recorded thereon. Also, the colored layer or the characters and patterns may be recorded together with the light reflecting layer or the light scattering layer.
