Abstract:

PURPOSE:To continuously adjust the temperature of the passenger's compartment of a vehicle, by using a trunk room reserving therein heated air as a heat source, and by connecting this trunk room through a change-over means to an air-conditioning unit in which a cooling heat-exchanger and an adjusting means for the amount of air bypassing the heat-exchanger are disposed. CONSTITUTION:Air from a blow-out port 5 is jetted toward the front section of a passenger's compartment 6. The conditioning of temperature of blow-out air is performed by the adjustment of position of an air-mixing damper 3 which is operated by a servo-motor 26 driven by the output power of an amplifier 25 receiving signals from an inside air temperature sensor 21, an external air temperature sensor 22, a temperature setting unit 23 and a potentiometer 24. Furthere, the upstream side of a duct 20 is selectively opened to a passenger's compartment duct 7 and a trunk room duct 8 by means of a damper 9. In this rear seat unit, the temperature of blow-out air is adjusted such that a damper 11 adjusts the amount of air bypassing an evaporater 12. Further, the position of the damper 11 is automatically controlled in association with the damper 3.
