Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float-type auto drain valve showing fast water draining speed that can be adapted for a vent-line such as a chemical tanker.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a drain valve installed at a lower end of a pipe P comprising a valve body 1 having a float part 11 and a valve plate 2 having a valve seat 22 to which the valve body 1 is abutted and a drain water discharging port 21 opened or closed by the valve body 1. The valve plate 2 has a supporting part 23 to support it in such a way that the valve body 1 is abutted against the valve seat 22. When drain water more than set value is accumulated in the pipe P, the drain water discharging port 21 is released by buoyancy of the float part 11 and drain water is released outside to provide a float-type auto drain valve of a fast discharging water speed that can be adapted for a bent line such as a chemical tanker.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
