Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exert high damping force when a belt is stretched as well as to lessen damping force the belt is slackened.
CONSTITUTION: A rocking member 22 which pivotally supports a tension pulley 4, is around a stationary shaft 18. Viscous fluid is enclosed in the space of clearance 32 between a damping plate 30 which is supported at the stationary shaft 18 side, and the rocking member 22. The thickness dimension T of the space of clearance 32 is made small when a belt is stretched, and is made large when the belt is slackened by the action of an axial cam mechanism 34.
