Abstract:
To provide an autofocus microscope that performs autofocus when a pathological specimen is observed, and an automatic imaging device of a microscopic image that automatically captures an image of an area a pathologist is interested in during pathological diagnosis.SOLUTION: An automatic imaging device 2 includes: a stage 12 on which a pathological specimen 10 is placed; an objective lens 14 that magnifies the pathological specimen at a predetermined magnification; an eyepiece 16 through which the pathological specimen magnified by the objective lens is directly observed; a detection unit that detects a focal position of the objective lens with respect to an area of the pathological specimen being observed through the eyepiece at regular intervals; and a Z direction drive unit 22 that adjusts a position of the stage in a Z direction so that the objective lens is in focus on the detected focal position when the focal position is detected by the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
