Abstract:

To provide an automated chassis warehouse which efficiently stores chassis in one location.

An automated chassis warehouse 1 comprises: a passage 7 for a tractor 5 which can tow a chassis 3; a chassis shed 9 arranged beside the passage 7; a plurality of chassis storage shelves 11 installed in the chassis shed 9; a stacker crane 13 which puts in or takes out the chassis 3 to/from the chassis storage shelf 11; and a transfer unit 15 which transfers the chassis 3 between a designated point outside the chassis shed 9 and the stacker crane 13. The transfer unit 15 includes a fork system which comprises a fork extendable in the direction of the chassis's width and a lifting mechanism to lift the fork. At least one of the chassis storage shelf 11, the stacker crane 13, and the transfer unit 15 is fitted with a support member T19 or S28 for the bottom of the longitudinal front part of a frame of the chassis 3 to rest on.
