Abstract:
To enable a carriage to move to a target position as quickly and accurately as possible.SOLUTION: A carriage traveling device includes a traveling route provided with a plurality of position markers, a carriage traveling on the traveling route, and a control unit for executing processing of moving the carriage from a current position to a target position. The carriage includes a traveling distance output unit that outputs a traveling distance according to the rotation of wheels, and a position detection unit that detects the plurality of position markers. On the basis of the output from the traveling distance output unit, the control unit causes the carriage to travel at a low speed for stopping when the carriage reaches a low-speed traveling start position before the target position, and to stop when the carriage reaches the target position. The control unit executes speed control on the carriage in such a way as to initially set an initial low-speed traveling start position according to the target position as the low-speed traveling start position, reset the low-speed traveling start position when the carriage reaches a position for adjustment before the initial low-speed traveling start position on the basis of an output from the position detection unit, and cause the carriage to start traveling at the low speed for stopping at the reset low-speed traveling start position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
