Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve storage and retrieval efficiency by enhancing the travelling stability of a stacker truck having an elevatable transfer unit.
SOLUTION: This automated warehouse comprises the stacker truck 8 supported in a freely travelling manner by a travel rail 20 fixed to right and left storage spaces 1. The stacker truck 8 is guided at its upper end by one guide rail 26 arranged extending along an approximately center line of a transfer path 2. Thus, the stacker truck 8 which is guided at its upper end by the guide rail 26 can stably travel at a high speed. As a result, the storage and retrieval efficiency is improved.
