Abstract:
PURPOSE: To play accompaniment of various patterns with small storage capacity by storing accompaniment pattern data divisionally by plural tracks and determining which track data are reproduced according to the mode of an automatic accompaniment.
CONSTITUTION: A CPU 11, when detecting a performance by a player, instructs a musical tone generation instruction corresponding to the detection result to a sound source circuit 13, switches the pattern of the automatic accompaniment to an accompaniment pattern corresponding to the performance state, and puts the accompaniment pattern back to the original pattern at specific timing. A ROM 10 is stored with data on a 1st and a 2nd variation patterns giving a variation to the automatic accompaniment and a normal pattern as a basic style so that the data are stored while divided into 8 tracks by two measures. For each accompaniment mode, the track whose accompaniment pattern data are to be used is determined. Even if the accompaniment mode is different, automatic accompaniment pattern data on the track which can be used in common can be used in common when existing.
