Title:
AUTOMATIC ADAPTIVE EQUALIZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3184136
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent output error from being diverged and to stably obtain an ideal output signal in short time, even if time delay exists until a weight coefficient is updated in an automatic adaptive equalizer for automatically correcting a signal with distortion by being propagated through a transmission line to an expected value.
SOLUTION: Plural coefficient holding parts 6211 to 621N are provided at every multiplication part. Number of these coefficient holding parts is the same as the number of clocks which are equal to the time delay required for updating the weight coefficient. The weight coefficient is calculated for every clock by an adder 621A. A position to store the calculated weight coefficient is switched by a selector 621S2, and the weight coefficient calculated by each clock is successively held in one corresponding coefficient holding part. One of the coefficient-holding parts 621 is successively selected by every clock by the selector 621S3. Therefore, each of the weight coefficients held in the coefficient holding parts is provided to the corresponding multiplication part, by setting the number of clocks equal to the time delay required for updating the weight coefficient as being one cycle.
