Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic air-cooling method for a drive servo motor for an industrial robot which facilitates reduction of size and reduction of cost.
CONSTITUTION: By controlling opening and closing of an air circuit 21 to blow compressed air against a servo motor 14 by an air circuit control device 20 according to the operation state of the servo motor 14 for drive, operation of the servo motor 14 is synchronized with blowing of compressed air. Through the synchronization therebetween, the size of a device is reduced without using a fan motor and a cooling liquid circulating device and an amount of used compressed air is reduced.
