Abstract:
This automatic analysis device comprises: a reaction container 9 which accommodates a reaction liquid 8 generated by mixing a sample and a reagent; a reagent dispensing mechanism 12 which dispenses the reagent in the reaction container 9; an absorption photometer 14 which measures light passing through the reaction liquid 8; a scattering photometer 15 which measures light scattered in the reaction liquid 8; and a computer 20 and a control unit 17 which control the operations of each device, wherein the computer 20 and the control unit 17 control the operation of the reagent dispensing mechanism 12 so that analysis by the absorption photometer 14 and analysis by the scattering photometer 15 are executed with the same kind of reagent at different concentrations. Accordingly, the automatic analysis device and analysis method may be provided to make it possible to obtain a suitable quantitative range in the absorption photometer and the scattering photometer without straining the volume of a reagent disc.
