To improve the user's interface operability by conducting the start of a screen saver function and setting of an automatic release.

A screen saver selecting screen has the functions of setting of a start time from the state having no input key to the start of screen saver function, apparatus state, i.e., releasing and setting at the time of transiting a washing state at the time of generating an alarm. Accordingly, when measuring items of respective specimens are requested in a standby state, if no input is within a set time even in the standby state, the screen saver function is started. And, it is transited to an operating state starting from cleaning of a reaction cell via an initial operation by the start key input. When all measuring steps are finished from sampling of a sample in this state, it is transited to the washing state. In this case, if the saver function is started, it is released. Thus, the saver function is released in the operator's intention state, and user's interface operation is improved.
