A telephone set connectable to the Internet digitizes automatic answering recording contents and stores the digitized contents as a file in compliance with a prescribed format, the stored file is accessible by a browser of a mobile phone or a personal computer by way of a Web server equipped in the telephone set, the telephone set prepares a page whereby attached information such as a phone call arrived time, and a telephone number of a phone caller in the automatic answering recording contents is displayed as a menu on the browser and selected automatic answering recording contents are downloaded. Since the automatic answering recording contents are selectively extracted, increase in a time charge for communication or a data amount charge required for downloading is effectively prevented.
