PURPOSE: To record an incoming message by discriminating by which telephone number dialing is made depending on a bell ringing way when the telephone set has plural telephone numbers and used by plural number of persons or used on purpose and sending a reply message depending on the number and to discriminate whether or not an incoming message not listened to yet by telephone numbers depending on number of times of bell ringing.

CONSTITUTION: A ringing length timer 9 and a ring pause timer 10 detect a ringing time and a pause time of a ring signal received from a telephone line 1, to which telephone number (to which mail box) a call is made is stored in a storage means 8 depending on the length of the time, a reply message stored in a voice storage means (DRAM) 5 is sent according to a voice recording and reproducing means 4 and the incoming message is stored in the voice storage means (DRAM) 5 as a mail box exclusive message.
