To solve problems of a conventional dental chair whose apron can be extended when the apron is horizontally laid down, wherein the adjustment of the degree of extension according to the height of a patient by a dentist or an assistant is complicated and wherein it takes time for the adjustment though various problems can be solved by changing the degree of extension according to the height of the patient.
The subject automatic apron extension quantity adjusting device of the dental chair makes the length of the apron 4 correspond to the length of the legs of the patient in the supine posture by adjusting the quantity of extension of the apron 4 to a prescribed quantity according to the quantity of displacement of a pillow 31 which is attached to a backrest 3 of the dental chair in such a way as movable in the vertical direction of the backrest 3.
