Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten locus of motion of an assembling jig and to improve efficiency of assembling work by moving a robot arm to this side of an advance end position then bringing an assembling jig into floatable state and fitting a positioning pin into a reference hole. CONSTITUTION:When the blower unit C in an air-conditioning system is assembled into the dashboard D of a body, a robot arm 1 is moved to this side of advance end position while being displaced slightly to the left. Then the robot arm 1 is moved to the right in order to carry the blower unit C to a position (b) immediately in front of assembling position. Movement of the robot arm 1 is stopped temporarily when the blower unit C is at position (a) and a jig frame 15 is brought into floatable state then a positioning pin 20 is matched with a reference hole D4b. A look cylinder 22 is operated under this state to restrict the jig frame 15, then the positioning pin 21 is removed and the blower unit C is moved to the position (b).
