PURPOSE: To correctly detect the temperature of bread dough and bake good bread without being affected by the temperature of the side wall of a baking chamber by fixing a temperature detecting section on the side wall of the baking chamber via a heat insulating member such as resin.

CONSTITUTION: A temperature detecting section 16 constituted of a thermistor and a temperature detecting section cover 17 are fixed to the side wall of a baking chamber 12 into contact with the outside of a kneading container 15 via an heat insulating member 18 such as resin. A temperature sensing member 19 made of bimetal or shape memory alloy and supporting the temperature detecting section 17 ordinarily keeps the temperature detecting section 16 in contact with the outside of the kneading container 15, and it is deformed to separate the temperature detecting section 16 from the kneading container 15 when the temperature in the baking chamber 12 rises by the excitation of a heater 13. For temperature detection, the temperature of the side wall of the baking chamber 12 rarely affect the temperature detecting section 16 due to the action of the heat insulating member 18, and the bread dough temperature and bread baking temperature can be correctly detected.
