To provide an automatic bundler that automatically performs a bundling operation and a tape finishing operation after the bundling operation without increasing the number of drive means and the number of control means.
The automatic bundler 100 bundles two or more works W together into a bundle. A link device connects a bundling arm 13 which wind a binding tape T around a work W, an electric motor 1 which moves the bundling arm 13, and a tape escaping section 15 which pulls out the binding tape T between the bundling arm 13 and a tape holder 40. The link device interlocks the bundling arm 13 and the tape escaping section 15 so as to move them in conjunction with each other. Additionally, the bundler 100 has a conveyor 20 which conveys the long works W with a bucket 30, and an encircling device 70 which puts the end portion of the binding tape T around the long works W and affixes it in position. When the bucket 30 is moved, the bottom of the bucket and the encircling device 70 are brought into contact with each other and the encircling device 70 is actuated.
