PURPOSE: To reduce physical work by automatically transferring a doffed package mounted on a peg stand to a stockroom, and feeding the peg stand insertedly mounted with an empty bobbin along a travel line of a doffing truck.
CONSTITUTION: Nine peg stands 3 are arranged on an upper and a lower guide rail 5, 5' provided along a travel line 4 of a doffing truck 1 respectively. When a doffed package 28 has been insertedly mounted on each peg 7 on the stand 3, a motor 22 is actuated to make a protrusion 15 of an endless carrying member 14 engage a claw 8 of the peg stand 3, which is fed to the left, and transferred onto a truck 17 on a grooved rail 16, and then carried as far as one pitch at a time toward a stockroom not displayed in the figures. The emptied peg stand 3 returns to its initial position to be mounted with the following doffed package. Thus it becomes unnecessary to plysically move the heavy doffed package, resulting in improved productivity and simplified process automation.
