PURPOSE: To carry in conveyed articles smoothly on shelf rails and also carry in them on empty shelf rails only.
CONSTITUTION: After a carriage 5 on which multiple rows of shelf rails 18 with multiple stages are provided is moved to the carrying-in position of an carrying-in conveyor device 15 by a mobile conveyor device 1, conveyed articles are carried-in on the shelf rails 18 at each stage by the carrying-in conveyor device 15, and the carriage 5 is moved sequentially to a position where each shelf rail 18 on the second row and subsequent matches the carrying-in position of the carrying-in conveyor device 15 by the mobile conveyor device 1 so as to carry in the conveyed articles on the shelf rail 18 at each row. Also a shelf rail detection sensor S6 and a conveyed article detection sensor S7 for detecting a conveyed article carried in on the shelf rail 18 are provided on the carrying-in conveyor device 15. When the shelf rail 18 and the conveyed article detected simultaneously by the sensors S6 and S7, the carrying-in conveyor device 15 is passed and raised without stopping at the carrying-in position. Then the shelf rail 18 is detected and, when the conveyed article is not detected, the carrying-in conveyor device 15 is stopped at the carrying-in position and the conveyed article is carried-in on the shelf rails 18.
