PURPOSE: To provide an automatic carrying method of packages, in which even small and thin packages are bundled continuously without the interruption of conveyance and automatically conveyed surely so that an operating efficiency can be made higher.

CONSTITUTION: Packages are sent by feed rollers 2, 8, banded by packing machines 3, 9 on the way, and fed to a direction-changing part 4. In the direction-changing part 4, the feed of packages is detected by a three-way non- contact sensor 10 and a feed plate 7 is operated to send out the packages onto the feed rollers 2, 8 directed at right angles to each other. In the middle of feeding by the feed rollers, the packages are banded at right angles by the packing machines and sent out further.
