Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable even an amateur to perform carving work without producing an original plate, by having a direct input through a design drawing for graphics and characters for a lumigraphic panel using resins. CONSTITUTION:A computer 2a gives an arithmetic and storage process to the data which is read by a coordinate reader 1a and performs a monitor display and the printing and output of the input data through a display 3a and a printer 4a. Then the data calculated and stored by the computer 2a is written on a tape through a data recorder 5a and then stored in a cassette magnetic tape 4. Then automatic control is given to a carving machine 7a by a numerical controller. The machine 7a carves accurately a system graphic fed by the reader 1a on a plastic plate block 7 by means of a cutter 6 and on the basis of the depth, the form and the line thickness of the carving which are designated by the reader 1a.
