Abstract:
PURPOSE: To avoid the overcharge, by a method wherein the beginning of the decline of the terminal voltage of a battery is detected and the charging is discontinued. CONSTITUTION: A unit 33 is a constant current unit and a unit 34 is a unit which detects the existence of a battery in a charging module. A unit 35 is a means which judges the voltage level of the battery. A unit 36 performs the charging control of the battery in accordance with the output of the unit 35. The maximum value of the battery voltage is stored through an A/D converter 78, a D/A converter 80 and a follower amplifier 82a. If the battery voltage declines in the last stage of the charging, the output of a comparator 82a is reversed and the charging is discontinued through a gate 63a of the unit 34.
