PURPOSE: To effectively prevent an engine stop by engaging a throttle lever with a choke shaft arm when it is rotated by a speed governing structure or a governor structure so as to rotate a throttle plate toward a closed position after the engine is started, and rotating the choke plate toward an open position.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature response device 74 is disposed for positioning a choke plate 40 based on a detected engine temperature. To facilitate the starting of an engine 14 at a low atmosphere temperature, the temperature response device 74 automatically positions the choke plate 40 in a closing position so as to increase flowing-in fuel by obstructing the flow of air into the engine 14. After the engine 14 is started and warmed, since it is not necessary to increase the flowing-in fuel, the temperature response device 74 automatically position the choke plate 40 in an opening position.
