CONSTITUTION: In case of duplex copying, an original 20 is conveyed to the side of a turnover route 35 as soon as the first page is copied on contact glass 11. At this time, a selector claw (a first selector device) 36 in order to copy the back closes the side of a discharge route 40. Consequently, the original gets into an inverse route 38 around a turn roller 32, and a conveyor belt 16 is driven in reverse, thus the original 20 is reset onto the contact glass 11 from the reverse direction. Thus, the second page is exposed to light. Next, the origi nal 20 exposed of both sides passes through from the turnover route 35 to the discharge route 40, and it also passes through a rectilinear route 52, then it is discharged onto an original feed board 18. That is, such a route that is suitable for the original is secured owing to these transfer claws 36 and 54.
