PURPOSE: To keep an electric circuit away from a coating site by turning a supporting arm to insert a spray nozzle into a work recess, abutting a driving lever on an operating lever to open a valve and atomizing a paint.
CONSTITUTION: In an automatic coater for coating a work recess stopped at a specified position, an automobile body is stopped at a specified position, a supporting arm 5 is leveled, a spray nozzle 6 is inserted into the recess of the body, a driving lever 25 is aboutted on the operating lever 24 of an opening and closing valve 23, the valve 23 is opened and coating is started. After coating is finished, the supply of air pressure to a pneumatic cylinder 7 is switched by the action of a control valve mechanism 33 and the cylinder 7 is subjected to contraction operation. Accordingly, the supporting arm 5 is turned downward, the driving lever 25 is separated from the operating lever 24, the opening and closing valve 23 is closed and the supply of a paint to the spray nozzle 6 is stopped. Consequently, the electric circuit is kept away from the coating position.
