PURPOSE: To enable shortening in resin and color changing times, drastic reduction of a resin quantity and improvements in yielding and productivity, by a method wherein a weighing stroke or weighing time, a screw speed, screw backpressure, an injection speed, an injection time, a barrel temperature and a period of duration of each of actions or the number of repeating times, which are operation terms of injection molding machine are stored in a memory part of a controller beforehand and the operation terms are changed over to those of the next action automatically at the time of an end of each of the actions.
CONSTITUTION: Each of set points of an original mode set up in a process controller is sent to a heater 3 and electromagnetic proportional valves 10, 12, 13 to perform a color and resin changes. Feed back of a detected value 3a of a result of heater control is applied to a process controller 15, and when the value 3a falls within a predetermined temperature range, a signal 15a for starting an action is sent to a sequencer 14 and the first color change and resin change actions are started. When a designated time or the number of times are completed, a mode is turned into the next action mode and the action is repeated. When the whole actions programmed like this are completed, the color change and resin change processes are completed and changed over automatically to the next operation action.
